How to Remove a Cassette Fascia From Your Roller Blind

Here at We Love Blinds, all of our MissPrint and Orla Kiely Roller Blinds are secured inside a cassette fascia. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this terminology, a cassette fascia is simply a metal casing that houses the roller blind, allowing it to be easily fitted to your window. However, sometimes our customers choose to remove the cassette fascia and fit the roller blind by itself. This may be due to a lack of space or simply because of personal preference. Either way, we’re on hand to help! Keep reading for helpful tips and advice on how to remove a cassette fascia from your roller blinds.

Step 1: Remove all packaging from your roller blind and place it on a level surface. Using your dominant hand, pull each end cap off of the cassette fascia while using your other hand to keep the roller blind in place.

Step 2: After removing the end caps, the release should now be visible. Press the release and remove your roller blind from inside the cassette fascia. Place your roller blind to one side.

Step 3: Using a flathead screw driver, loosen and release the screws that are holding the brackets in place on the cassette fascia. Once all of the screws have been released (two on each side), the brackets should simply fall away.

Step 4: Select where on your window you would like to fit your roller blind, either inside or outside of your window recess. Take your brackets and fix them in place using a handheld drill. Make sure the brackets are secure, to prevent the blind from falling.
